Jain Vishva Bharati Institute (Deemed-to-be University), Ladnun, Rajasthan, was established in 1991 with the vision of harmonizing ancient Indian wisdom with modern academic disciplines. Recognized under Section 3 of the UGC Act, the institute functions as a center for higher learning, research, and extension, committed to value-based education and holistic human development.

The university is inspired by the universal ideals of Anekant (non-absolute outlook), Ahimsa (non-violence), tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. Guided spiritually by Acharya Shri Mahashraman, the eleventh supreme head of the Jain Śvetāmbara Terapanth tradition, JVBI maintains a non-sectarian and inclusive academic environment that transcends religious and cultural boundaries.

JVBI offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, diploma, certificate, and distance education programmes. Its academic offerings include Arts, Commerce, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Yoga & Science of Living, Non-Violence and Peace Studies, Philosophy, Jainology, Comparative Religion, and classical and modern languages such as Prakrit, Sanskrit, Hindi, English, and Rajasthani. Through teaching, research, and experiential learning, the university seeks to prepare socially responsible individuals grounded in knowledge, ethics, and human values.

It provides research and advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of Prakrit Language and Literature, Pali, Sanskrit, Apabhramsha, Jainology, Philosophy, Religion, Comparative Studies in Philosophy and World Religion, Astrology, Mantravidya Avadhanvidya (Mnemonics), Yoga and sadhana, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Colour Therapy, Magnet Therapy, Jeevan vigyan and Preksha dhyan and the fundamental principles of Shramana Culture. The Current Anushashta of the university is Acharya Shri Mahashraman, the eleventh supreme head of the Jain Shwetamber Terapanth Sect, who is empowered to discipline the institute both morally and spiritually. However, the university is free from any religious affiliations and above sectarian bias.
