Acharya Shri Tulsi and Ganadhipati Shri Mahapragya had envisioned an educational system that would focus not merely on knowledge gaining but also on the mental and emotional aspects of life, so as to contribute to the overall character building of the individual and the society. This revolutionary concept of Jeevan Vigyan (Science of Living) is now being implemented by the Kendriya Jeevan Vigyan Academy at Jvb by their training on Meditation, Yoga and Learning.

Services

One of the major objectives for which Jain Vishva Bharati was established is Education (shiksha). Towards achievement of this goal, various educational activities are being conducted by Jain Vishva Bharati starting at the primary stage and all the way upto the university level. The four institutions being currently run by Jain Vishva Bharati are:

One of the primary objectives of Jain Vishva Bharati is Service (Seva). Towards meeting this objective, the following centers are being actively run and managed by Jain Vishva Bharati:

Apart from these, Jvb is also discharging its responsibility of the overall operational and logistical support to the Saman-Samani category since the inception of the category. It is really a privilege to provide the services of Samani Kendra Vyavastha on which Jvb prides itself.

Spirituality

Apart from Education (shiksha) and Service (seva), another important objective of Jvb is Spirituality (sadhana). Jain Vishva Bharati runs Tulsi Adhyatma Nidam which regularly conducts training, experiments and research on Preksha Dhyan (Preksha meditation). Jain Vishva Bharati is also publishing the monthly magazine Preksha Dhyan Patrika for over 30 years covering Spirituality, Yoga, Meditation and other useful topics.

Literature

Publication of Literature (साहित्य) is an important activity of Jain Vishva Bharati. Every year, since the last four decades, various books are published by Jain Vishva Bharati on diverse subjects like Jain Agams, Jainism, Jeevan Vigyan (Science of Living) apart from books authored by Sadhus, Sadhvis, Samans, Samanis, Research Scholars and other literary figures. Apart from the publication of these books, JVB also regulates the SAHITYA VIKRIYA KENDRA viz. the selling counters wherever the Sadhu – Sadhvis are currently located.
